Description:
After 17 years of construction and testing at a cost of $10 billion, the James Webb Space Telescope was launched into space on Christmas day in 2021. With 18 hexagonal mirrors measuring a total of 21 feet across, it can view objects up to 100 times fainter than what Hubble can detect. It has already provided fascinating new insight into the formation of the first galaxies, possible life on alien planets, and countless other astronomical mysteries.
This 12-month calendar contains many of the best images taken by the James Webb telescope, including 15 bonus images within the grids. It provides the dates of major astronomical events, including moon phases, solar and lunar eclipses, meteor showers, and moon-planet conjunctions.
